Steve began his career in entertainment in 1996 working in the University of Michigan Theater Department and several other venues in Detroit Mi.
Steve also studied Music extensively at Washtenaw Community College and at Wayne State University in the Jazz performance Department.
Steve has filled many rolls in the production world during his 20 year career as a touring Guitarist, Audio Engineer, Master Electrician & Production Manager.. He has worked with a number of well known artists including Stevie Wonder, Paradigm, Kid rock, Bruno Mars and Metallica to name a few.
Steve returned to Portland Oregon in 2010 with the dream of owning and operating a recording studio as an alternative to life on the road.
In 2011 Steve recorded a full length album with The Addiction Dream. After difficulties with the space that he was working in, he noticed a trend of historical recording studios being closed in the Portland area. He decided to design and build something that would outlast the growing trend and support the music community for years to come. After 5 years of planning and 3 years of part time construction, that dream is now a reality.

Independent producer Raymond Richards has been helping new bands find their sound for nearly 20 years. With years of experience in the music business Raymond is an expert at helping bands navigate the pitfalls and options facing a band or solo artist looking to make music they are passionate about for a living.
Having produced records for bands like Local Natives (Gorrila Manor), honeyhoney (Billy Jack), The Parson Red Heads, and many others, Raymond has the experience it takes to help you find your voice and place in the independent music community.
Pre-production is just as important as post-production in Raymond’s process and spending the time making sure that your recording dreams are fulfilled is the focus of his process.

Avi Brown is a record producer, multi-instrumentalist and composer based in Portland, Oregon. Avi has had the good fortune of making music with artists such as Stephen Marley, Bill Kreutzmann, Diantoni Parks, MoZella and many more.

From banjos to bangers, Avi‘s focus is always on what best serves the composition at hand. Whether it’s providing a singer-songwriter with a full band and arrangements, adding strings or other elements to an indie rock song, creating a bed of experimental sonic texture for a psychedelic dream pop lullaby, or simply capturing beautiful sounds and a strong performance, Avi’s twenty-plus year career makes collaborating with him inspiring and exhilarating.

Having studied, performed and produced Rock, Pop, Jazz, Hip Hop, Country, Reggae and more, Avi draws upon many different influences and inspirations in his production and composition approach. His flexibility and wide stylistic vocabulary often help the recording artists he works with hone their sound while refining the nuances that make their music truly unique.

As a songwriter and recording artist himself, Avi is a firm believer in the power of experimentation during pre-production to ensure that studio time is spent as productively as possible. Avi can also recommend or handle the hiring of session musicians for solo artists or bands in need of additional instrumentation.

Avi studied arranging and music production at Berklee College of Music. He joined B-Side Studios as a Resident Producer/Engineer in June, 2017.
